Ensuring that children receive full-time education is a legal requirement for all parents. At St. Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School we believe that regular school attendance is the key to enabling children to maximise the educational opportunities available to them and to enable them to become emotionally resilient, confident and competent adults who are able to realise their full potential and make a positive contribution to their community.
We ask children to be in for 98+ of the time. This is because we are doing all we can for your child to have a happy successful future. In order to prepare them for secondary school and make sure they leave our school numerate & literate we NEED them to come into school every day so they don't miss any learning. Please do not let your child “fall behind” the others because they have missed too much school.
Children with 100% attendance will receive an Ice-Lolly on a Friday as a treat.
The daily register for attendance is taken each morning and afternoon.
The first bell goes at 8.50am when the children should be lined up on the playground where they will then go into classrooms. The second bell rings at 9am at which point the gates will be closed and the register completed in class.
Children arriving after 9.00am must enter the school building at the main office and be signed in by the adult bringing them on the Entry sign system in the main school reception. They will receive a late mark for that day. Children arriving after the close of
