    Christmas Shopping Voucher

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

    This morning we have been notified of a number of parents who are pleasantly surprised to find they are entitled to a £30 Christmas food shopping voucher.

    Even if your child has a packed lunch or is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and receives Universal Free School Meals, you could still be entitled to support during the holiday period.

    The form takes a few minutes to complete, not only could you be entitled to a Christmas food shopping voucher but school will receive extra funding too.

    Once you have completed the form school will be notified of any changes. Please complete the form today, (Wednesday 2nd December) as we need to order vouchers tomorrow.

    Christmas Shopping Voucher

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

    You could be eligible for a £30 Christmas food shopping voucher. Manchester City Council are providing supermarket shopping vouchers to children who are entitled to free school meals.

    Please follow the link below to see if your family are entitled to a voucher. Once you have completed the form school will be notified of any changes. Please complete the form by tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd December as we need to order vouchers this Thursday.

    Free School Meals

    This message is regarding children who receive Free School Meals

    Dear Parents/ Carers of children who receive Free School Meals,

    Manchester City Council has agreed today to provide funding for all children from Nursery Year 6 who are eligible for a benefits related Free School Meal over the half term break next week. This does not include children who get a free school meal through the Universal Scheme.

    Eligible families will receive a cash payment of £15 per child for the week and will need to claim through the Welfare provision scheme on the Council's website - the link is copied below. The scheme will continue to be open for 2 weeks after half term up until 13th November.

    Free School Meal eligibility

    Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:
    Income Support
    Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance
    Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
    Support under Part IV of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
    The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
    Child Tax Credit (provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
    Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
    Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
