    British Sign Language Week

    Dear parents,

Our school is very excited to be taking part in British Sign Language Week 2023 this week. The aim of this year’s Sign Language Week is to celebrate and educate the British public about BSL, to encourage more people to start learning our beautiful, unique, visual language, and to protect and preserve BSL for future generations to come.

Although there is no obligation to donate, we would be very grateful for any £1 donations payable to your child’s teacher. This money will go towards supporting the British Deaf Association’s campaigning work promoting BSL to ensure Deaf children have access to their own language from birth. This is currently not happening, and the BDA wants to change that.

I have no doubt your child will come home and teach the rest of your family what they learned, and we hope you will enjoy it too!

    Breakfast Club

From January, Breakfast Club will be provided through EDSTART. The cost of Breakfast Club will remain at £2 per session. Breakfast must now be booked via the EDSTART booking system.

The same breakfast items will be available each day, the only difference the children will notice is a wider offer of activities as an EDSTART coach will be running the club so expect an active start to the day! There will still be the usual board games and activities so there’s plenty of choice for the children.

Breakfast is open from Wednesday 4th January.

Here is the link to book your child's place:
