School Trip to Stockley Farm- 25th April

The Foundation Stage enjoyed their trip to Stockley Farm.   We bottle fed lambs and kids, went on a bumpy tractor ride and groomed a pony.  We also saw lots of baby animals in the barn and learnt about milking cows.

Spring Fund Raising Concert 2017

Foundation Stage raised over £150 for Cafod by inviting parents to a Spring concert. The children sang songs they had learnt with Sam. Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon, for a good cause.

Paper Making Workshop - 6th March 2017

All the children in FS2 took part in a workshop to make recycled paper.  The children worked in partners to create a piece of paper which they decorated in the theme of Roald Dahl.

Animal Roadshow

The children in Foundation Stage were very excited to meet some real life owls as we have been reading the story of Owl Babies.  This is linked to our topic of 'Light and Dark.'  We saw an African Spotted Owl called Joe, a Tawny Owl and a White Owl called Rupert.  The biggest owl of all was a Milky Eagle Owl called Lizzy.

RE Assembly

FS2 have been learning the story of Creation in their RE lessons.  They were very excited to act out the story and performed it in their first assembly.

SPORTS DAY.

We had a great sports day.  The sun shone and the children enjoyed taking part.

STORY DANCE

During Sports Week, children in Foundation Stage participated in a story dance called 'Under the Sea.'  The children went on an adventure under the sea and moved their body in rhythm to the music.

BLUE PLANET AQUARIUM

As part of our topic on 'Water,' the children visited the Blue Planet Aquarium in Ellesmere Port.  The children and staff found it fascinating and enjoyed seeing all the different sea creatures.

CHICKS

Nine chicks hatched from the eggs in the incubator. We helped look after the chicks by feeding them special food and giving them lots of water to drink. They were nice and warm in their brooder box. Everyone had the opportunity to hold a chick. We were sad to see them go back to the farm after two weeks. They had grown bigger and started to grow their feathers.

World Book Day.

The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite character.
